Wet Pour Rubber
Wet pour is the seamless, poured-in-place rubber surface you see in most modern playgrounds: smooth, colourful, wheelchair-friendly and specified to the exact fall height your equipment needs.

Grass mats (rubber grass mats, or reinforced grass) are perforated rubber tiles pinned into an existing grass surface. Grass grows up through the holes, so the area keeps a natural green appearance while the mats give a firm, stable, impact-absorbing surface underneath.
They are the go-to solution for high-wear spots on grass: under swings and at the base of slides, around gates and goalmouths, and on muddy desire lines. The mats spread load, stop the grass wearing to mud, and provide fall protection tested to BS EN 1177, all while looking like a lawn.
Compare with fully synthetic artificial grass or seamless wet pour, or see all surfacing.

Grass mats shine on the spots where natural grass always fails: swing bays, slide exits, gateways, goalmouths and busy paths across a field. Rather than resurface the whole area, we reinforce just the worn zones, keeping the natural look and saving budget.
For areas that need a fully synthetic finish, artificial grass is the alternative; for a seamless coloured surface, wet pour. We will advise which suits each part of your grounds.
Grass grows through the mats, so the area still looks and feels like a lawn.
Impact-absorbing rubber tested to BS EN 1177 under swings, slides and climbers.
Firm, load-spreading mats stop grass wearing down to bare, muddy patches.
Reinforce only the high-wear zones instead of resurfacing the whole area.
Grass mats reinforce natural grass in high-wear areas, such as under swings and slides, around gates and on muddy paths. They stop the grass turning to mud while keeping a natural look and adding fall protection.
Yes. Rubber grass mats are impact-absorbing and can be specified to protect against falls from play equipment to BS EN 1177, depending on the equipment height.
Yes. The mats are perforated so grass grows up through them, knitting them into the lawn for a natural appearance within a few weeks in the growing season.
They serve different needs. Grass mats keep a real-grass look and reinforce specific worn areas, while artificial grass replaces the grass entirely for an all-weather green finish. We can advise which suits your space.
