Playgrounds for Primary Schools

Primary playgrounds have to do everything at once — active play, quiet corners, PE and outdoor learning — for a huge range of ages and abilities. We design and install the whole space as one coordinated project.

Playgrounds for Primary Schools

A primary school playground is one of the hardest-working spaces in the building: it hosts break and lunch for the whole school, PE lessons, outdoor learning and after-school clubs. It has to challenge Year 6 and keep Reception safe on the same site.

We plan primary playgrounds around your age ranges, curriculum and budget — zoning active and calm areas, matching equipment to each key stage, and putting the right safety surfacing under everything. Every scheme is installed to BS EN 1176 and 1177 with one point of contact from design to handover.

FAQs

Primary Schools: common questions

How do you design a playground for all primary ages?

We zone the space — active play, quiet areas, sports and outdoor learning — and grade equipment and challenge levels for EYFS, KS1 and KS2 so every child has something suitable, safely separated where it needs to be.

Can you work within our budget and phase the work?

Yes. We design to your budget and can phase a scheme across terms or funding years, so you can start with the highest-impact areas and add to them over time.

Do you handle everything or just supply equipment?

We deliver the whole project: design, groundworks, safety surfacing, equipment, markings and fencing, with one point of contact from the first visit to handover and inspection.
