What we set out to do
Outdoor learning was regularly cancelled by rain and strong sun, and the school lacked a covered space for dining overspill and wet-play.

The brief
Outdoor learning was regularly cancelled by rain and strong sun, and the school lacked a covered space for dining overspill and wet-play.
Our approach
We designed and installed a custom steel canopy with coloured polycarbonate roofing, engineered to wind and snow loads, sited to create a sheltered, usable outdoor room beside the building.
The result
The school now has a dependable all-weather space that extends the day outside, used for forest-school lessons, covered dining and sheltered play through every season.
