What we set out to do
Elmhurst School in Croydon wanted to develop its outdoor area within a busy town-centre setting. The scheme needed to suit the school's nature-focused ethos.

The brief
Elmhurst School in Croydon wanted to develop its outdoor area within a busy town-centre setting. The scheme needed to suit the school's nature-focused ethos.
Our approach
We installed a trim trail, mud kitchens and outdoor shelters as a single scheme for the school. The mix was chosen to add active play and hands-on outdoor use in keeping with the school's nature focus.
The result
The school gained a fuller outdoor area that works within its town-centre site and supports the nature-led way it wants pupils to play.
